Hey Appliance Fans,
NARI At The Phillies: Me hanging with the ladies. Would you expect anything less from The Kieffer’s Guy? My identity has been hidden to protect the innocent.
I only have a couple of things to cover with this post, but important things nonetheless. Last month, we sponsored a day at The Phillies with the Bucks-Mont, Del-Chester, and BIE Chapters of NARI (The National Association of the Remodeling Industry). It was a great opportunity to network with fellow members in the trade (plus enjoy some beer, burgers, and baseball). We had a great time and of course I did some networking (and I got a wicked sunburn). Sorry readers, you’ll never know my true identity! On another note, the Phillies are only a few games back in the wild card race. It’s been a disappointing season, but maybe, just maybe they can squeak into the postseason. My fingers and toes are crossed.
Customers come into the showroom all of the time asking me to recommend a contractor to help them with their project and I always tell them to check out their local NARI Chapter’s website for a list of contractors in the area. Using NARI or other local trade organizations can really help you find the best contractors, designers, builders, etc. If you’re in the greater Philadelphia region, check out this list of NARI’s local chapters:
Bucks/Montgomery County: www.bucksmontnari.org
Delaware/Chester County: www.delchesternari.org
Pottstown Vicinity: www.pottstownbie.org
If you’re out of our area, check out NARI’s National Site at www.nari.org for more information about a local chapter near you.
I will always be fair and balanced when it comes to putting fake mustaches on Presidential Candidates.
The countdown has begun and I’m not talking about the countdown to the election. I’m talking about rebates. If you’re not into saving money, you should probably move on, BUT if you’re into saving money and are interested in sprucing up your kitchen appliances, you probably want to keep reading.
What’s your style? Sub-Zero & Wolf? Viking? Thermador? Dacor? GE Monogram? It doesn’t matter as they all have some savings to be had and they are all running out very soon. All of these companies have been offering some sort of savings for quite some time and I usually hear rumors about the programs being extended. This time, though, I’m not hearing those rumors at all. Maybe I’m wrong and these programs will continue or be revised and extended, but I haven’t heard anything to make me think otherwise. So let’s quickly do a run down on these programs:
Sub-Zero & Wolf’s Instant Savings – Expires on September 30th:
Their rebate brings “Kitchen Soulmates” together. Wolf handles all of the cooking products and Sub-Zero takes care of the refrigeration component. To qualify for this rebate, you must combine any range (gas or dual fuel) and a Sub-Zero built in refrigerator (columns or Pro 48) and you get $1,000 off instantly. You can increase the savings by another $1,500 (for a total of $2,500) if you add qualifying Sub-Zero or Wolf pieces.
Don’t want to do a range? No problem. Combine a wall oven(s), range top (any size) or cooktop (30” or 36”) plus a Sub-Zero refrigerator and that’s $1,000 in instant savings. Remember, you can add up to three more qualifying Sub-Zero & Wolf pieces and get another $1,500 in instant saves ($500 per piece).
This rebate expires on September 30th 2012. You must purchase these products up to September 30th, but you have until the end of the year to accept delivery. For more detailed information, check out www.subzerosavings.com
Viking’s Instant Savings – Expires on September 30th:
While Sub-Zero & Wolf want you to combine products, Viking’s approach is instant savings on individual items.
Viking’s Professional Series:
$500 instant savings on any range or built-in refrigerator
$200 instant savings on any range top, cooktop, or dishwasher
$300 on any wall oven
Just like Sub-Zero and Wolf, you must purchase your Viking appliances by September 30th, but you have until December 31, 2012 to accept delivery. You can read all of the details by visiting www.vikingrange.com
Thermador’s 1, 2, FREE Program – Expires on December 31st:
Thermador’s program is a bit like Sub-Zero and Wolf’s in that you must combine some pieces to qualify, but instead of giving you money back, they give you FREE appliances. Sweet.
Buy any 36” or 48” range or any cooktop/range top combined with a double or triple oven combination and you get a free dishwasher (panel ready or stainless steel) valued at $1,549. Add any of their built in refrigerators and you get a FREE hood. Basically, you get an entire kitchen just by purchasing two or three appliances that you were going to purchase anyway. You can also upgrade dishwashers for a nominal fee. If you’re brave and purchase one of my favorite ranges on the planet, the Ultimate Culinary Center, you are automatically upgraded to a Sapphire series dishwasher (a $1,899 value).
Unlike Viking and Sub-Zero & Wolf, Thermador’s program expires on December 31, 2012 not September 30th; however, you must purchase and accept delivery by December 31st. For more details, check out http://www.thermador.com/about/promotions
Dacor – Expires on September 30th:
Dacor’s program is setup with instant savings based on how much you spend on Dacor products not combining specific products like Sub-Zero & Wolf and Thermador. For example spending $3,000-$5,999 saves you $300 instantly. Though you must make your Dacor purchase prior to December 31st 2012, you have until January 31st, 2013 to accept delivery. I can’t believe I’m talking about 2013 already. UGH.
For all of the details about Dacor’s Go Green program (and information to get a 3 year warranty), visit http://www.dacor.com/instantsavings.aspx.
GE Monogram – Extended through March 31, 2013.
Instant savings are back in play with Monogram’s program when you combine Monogram products. For example, you can purchase a range and a hood or a range and a dishwasher and get $1,000 instant savings. Add a built-in refrigerator and save another $1,000 instantly for a total of $2,000. If you’re not purchasing a range, you can buy a cooktop or range top, wall oven and hood or dishwasher and get $1,000 off instantly. Add a built-in refrigerator and qualify for an additional $1,000.
